LWSD Volunteer Application

In order to volunteer in classes, at school events or chaperone field trips at Thoreau, you must be an actively approved Lake Washington School District volunteer. Volunteer approvals are valid for two years from the date of approval. For parents, the fastest way to apply is to use the application inside of Parent Access. For community members, a PDF version of the application can be printed from the district website.

All volunteer applicants should apply early, at least two weeks prior to the event or activity, in order to ensure there is enough time to complete the volunteer approval process. The Communications Office processes applications as quickly as possible but there are typically thousands of applications at the beginning of each school year. Volunteers are notified by the Communications Office when their approved status is close to expiration and upon approval.
